Creations of the Night is a youth art exhibition inspired by dreams, nightmares, ambitions, and fears. This theme encourages young artists to explore deeper meaning through symbolism and to express a wide range of emotions across different creative mediums, including canvas, paper, music, and more.
The goal of this exhibition is to help youth build confidence in their artistic abilities while providing a meaningful opportunity to showcase their work as emerging artists. By sharing their creations with the community, participants are supported in growing their voice, self-expression, and sense of belonging through art.
Submission Information

Who can submit
Open to youth ages 12–17 from the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) and surrounding rural areas.

Important Dates
Submission Deadline: January 28, 2026
Installation Date: January 31, 2026-February 1, 2026
Exhibition Dates: February 2, 2026 – Friday, February 27, 2026
Artwork Pick-Up / Deinstallation Date: February 28, 2026

Accepted Mediums
We welcome a wide range of artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, textiles, collage, beading, multimedia, and more. Sculpture and 3D works can be displayed in our glass display cases with lockable doors.
